Who Are We?
RESTORATION HOPE is deeply committed toward hope and healing through a transitional housing mentorship program designed for youth requiring emergency accommodation. Our program is designed specifically for youth who are in critical need of emergency placement, particularly those who have been displaced due to foster care situations, those who have been recommended for support by the juvenile court system, and students from city schools facing significant challenges.
Our program offers a wide range of essential services tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant. Among these services, we provide specialized assistance with behavior and trauma management, recognizing that many of the youth we serve have experienced significant emotional and psychological challenges. Our dedicated staff is trained to help participants develop coping strategies and resilience, fostering a sense of inner strength and stability.
Faith-based counseling fosters personal growth and spiritual development, offering emotional support and guidance. We believe that integrating faith facilitates transformation and recovery.
Our life skills classes, focusing on financial literacy, communication, and conflict resolution, prepare participants for independent living and success. We also prioritize education, ensuring access to quality schooling to help students achieve excellence.
Career training is a crucial component, providing internships, job shadowing, and vocational training through local partnerships to enhance employability and confidence.
We are dedicated to creating an environment where hope thrives and healing is possible, enabling our program participants to envision and pursue a brighter future.
Our program participants receive the best possible support from our dedicated and highly trained mentors. To ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge, our mentors are required to attend regular training sessions designed to enhance communication techniques, training in trauma and crisis management, and modules on prevention and verbal de-escalation skills, which are critical in managing conflict and challenging behaviors. physical intervention techniques are also part of the training curriculum, ensuring that mentors are prepared to handle situations that may require physical safety measures while adhering to ethical guidelines and prioritizing the dignity of all involved.
Our mentors receive ongoing coaching and constructive feedback from both administrative staff and the executive director. Regular debriefing sessions are also mandated, where mentors can express any concerns or challenges they face in their mentoring relationships. This open line of communication ensures that any issues can be addressed promptly and effectively, thereby maintaining a high standard of support for our participants. By investing in our mentors' training and development, we are ultimately enhancing the quality of support our participants receive, fostering an environment where they can thrive and succeed.
Our mission at RESTORATION HOPE would not be effective without the monetary support of individuals, corporate sponsorship and donations, business interaction, and volunteerism. Allowing us the ability to offer a range of services to our community through our BLESSINGS PANTRY program. We are able to provide homeless essentials for youth street outreach. As well as provide educational services within our micro-school sponsorship, online and streamed classes, and peer-run life skill classes.
Additional resources are job placement, career training and internship, faith-based counseling, Bible study, and group table counseling.
Join us in our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.
